BUENDIA FOOD BY THE COURT

One of this year's trend in the Philippines is "food park", it is a place of collective top quality local and international street food traders, parking up to satisfy cravings. A place where you can see food trucks, stalls made from container vans or a market-like settings to attract customers to its Instagram-worthy ambiance. We discover another food park called BUENDIA FOOD BY THE COURT, literally a food park beside a basketball court. It is located along Sen. G. Puyat Avenue in Palanan, Makati. Inside, they have Indonesian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, American and of course Filipino cuisine. We ordered Ramen Promo where you will have a side dish of your choice, Thai fried rice and a four season drinks in a jar. La Union ✖️ Baguio ✖️ Pangasinan: Holy Week 2017

Image
I know that Holy Week is supposed to be a solemn time especially for Catholics, but for some, it’s the pre-summer vacation when people take the time to go out of town or to the beach. And this time of the year, I was invited to join their (my bf's family) summer vacation in La Union. We left the metro Wednesday night and arrived at La Union the next morning with the rain pouring. After a long rest from a long trip, the elders decided to go to the beach somewhere in San Juan, La Union (supposed to be in the waterfalls at San Gabriel but it was raining in the morning) but unfortunately when we arrived at San Juan, we didn't get to enjoy the beach there as it was peak season, the rates are high so they decided to go back somewhere near in Bauang to have a dip. We stayed there until the sun sets, but some of us didn't got the chance to enjoy as we wasted a lot of time going back and forth with the scorching sun so we just enjoy the scenery and take a lot of pho...

Image
Where do you usually spend your Holy Week? Last year, me and my boyfriend decided to go to Crystal Beach in Zambales... it was our first out of town in 5 years. (HAHA!) Because it was Holy Week, we had a hard time and the terminal (in Pasay) was crowded so I suggest to you guys to book early for less hassle. The second problem was the bus to Iba is already full so we decided to take an Olongapo tickets and ride another bus from there to take us to San Narciso. Our bus left at 11pm. We arrived at Crystal Beach 5-8 hours after as there was a traffic from Olongapo to San Narciso than the usual. Pasay Terminal From San Narciso municipal hall which is just along the main road, we took a tricycle ride going to the resort proper. Paid 15php/person.

LA PLAYA RESORT: A Quick Escape

Image
Are you looking for an escape here in Cavite? There is A LOT... It may be beaches or pools, Cavite have them. But if you are looking for both and clean surroundings, one I can suggest is the La Playa Resort in Calibuyo, Tanza. To go: 1. If you are from Tejero, you can ride a bus to Naic/Tanza and take off in Calibuyo where you can see a big "La Playa Resort" signage at the right. 2. From there, you can ride a tricycle to the resort. The fare is unknown as we always went there by a rented van or jeep. Renting a van or jeep is a big help for a big group. Entrance fee for adults is 100php which you can swim either in the beach or in the pool, for kids 3 years old and above is 80php (inclusive use of beach and pool) and kids below 3 years old is FREE. There is a lot of kubo or cottage to choose from, ranges from 500php - 3,000php. There is NO CORKAGE, so you can grill your prepared food from there. If you like to stay for a night, they have also plen...
